The Story So Far

Hi, I’m Issy Starkiss

I spend as much time as possible in my spare room handmaking jewellery for you.
Each piece is specifically designed with the aim of bringing someone a little happiness. More than anything, I want to make people smile.

I do have experience so don't worry!
I’ve been a full-time professional goldsmith in Sheffield since 2015.
I started off doing a Metalwork and Jewellery degree at Sheffield Hallam, then worked as a precious metal tester, and after that as a jewellery salesperson before getting back to the bench - in fact, since leaving school it’s been non-stop jewellery.

Early in 2020 Retail Jeweller Magazine very kindly named me as one of their 30 Under 30 Rising Stars, which is a title I’m working hard every day to live up to!

Making something that you can attach a memory to and that says exactly what it needs to say is very important to me. The last thing that I want is for anyone to be disappointed, so I am meticulous when I’m working and make sure everything is well made and finished before it goes anywhere.
I design jewellery so that all you have to do is put it on, feel fabulous and go enjoy yourself.

How It All Started

Jewellery by Starkiss was created when my sister suggested that we run the London Marathon 2018 for British Heart Foundation, in memory of our excellent Dad.
In order to help with fundraising I designed The PS Collection - so named because those are Dad’s initials. In the end we nearly doubled our initially daunting target, supported by the best people on Earth!

This all means that the business started in the midst of grieving, fundraising and a hell of a lot of training.

Since then Jewellery by Starkiss has continued to develop and thankfully now involves a lot less running!

I’m always up for chatting about jewellery so if you have any questions or requests then feel free to get in touch, I’ll do my best to help.
